We’ve called it this as we believe that focusing on our wellbeing will give us the foundations each of us needs to build a happy and healthy life.

The NHS thinks there are 5 key things you can do to achieve this:  
 

Be active


Finding an activity you enjoy that also suits your level of fitness and mobility can be hugely beneficial to your health.

This is not only a fantastic way to keep fit, but you can also make lots of new friends.

It's also been proven that exercise can have a positive impact on your mood and help to tackle anxiety and stress.

Learn


Gaining new skills can help you to boost your confidence.

This confidence can then have a positive impact on all the other areas of your day-to-day life.

 

Give


Volunteering to help others makes you feel part of your community.

As well as supporting others, you'll also have an amazing sense of wellbeing in making a positive difference to someone else's day or life.

We offer volunteer positions within Optivo. We also work with other organisations offering volunteering opportunities across London, Sussex, Kent and the Midlands. Find out more about volunteering here at Optivo.

We've got mindfulness and meditation techniques, assertiveness training, active exercise classes and cooking or computer training.
