More than 200 residents enjoyed Optivo’s family fun day in Reedland Crescent, Faversham, on Friday 30 August. One of our many community events held this summer.

There was plenty to keep the children amused including arts and craft activities, balloon modelling, face painting, and glitter tattoos. The bouncy castles proved popular with children of all ages!

The children were encouraged to get up close to snakes, tortoises, frogs and more, thanks to animal enthusiasts, ‘Jaws n Claws’.

Whilst a drumming workshop gave the kids a chance to make some noise!

Optivo colleagues were on hand to talk to residents about services we provide. We had experts from our Lettings, Resident Involvement and Financial Inclusion teams. This meant we were able to offer advice and support to local residents.

Dog Wardens from Swale Borough Council also attended the event and offered a dog chipping service, making it easier for pets to be reunited with their owner if they’re lost or stolen.

Staff on hand at the eventNancy Cashford, Optivo Resident Involvement Officer said: “It was brilliant that we had such a great turn out. Our summer events are a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy the activities we organise.

She continued: “There are staff available to have a quick chat about any housing matters.

And it’s great for us as we can get feedback from residents on how we can improve the services we provide.”
