Our Wellbeing programme this summer

We're running a range of free courses and activities for Optivo residents this summer available both online and in person (with limited capacity).

Many of our events will be run virtually so will be accessible using the Zoom video conference app (accessible through a laptop, tablet or Smart phone device). Any activities that do take place at a venue will adhere to the government's COVID guidelines.

The activities include:
  • Food and cooking sessions, such as pizza parties and specialist nutritian courses for those with diabetes.
  • Exercise and fitness sessions including wallking & running groups , chair pilates and virtual exercise fitness sessions. You can also enjoy a 3 month Freedom Leisure Centres pass that grants access to swimming pools, gyms and classes in Hastings, Bexhill and Rye.

  • Try fun new activities such as sea fishing

  • Money budgeting advice and financial guidance sessions

  • Mental Health and Wellbeing sessions including 1:1 meetings, 6 step resources and monthly coffee morning sessions
  • Accredited courses covering topics such as:
    • Infection control
    • Health & Safety
    • Stress management
    • Autism Awareness
    • Child Mental Health Awareness
    • Child Online safety awareness
    • Food Hygiene
    • Safeguarding vulnerable adults level 2 advanced
