Our Chief Executive heads to Number 10 Downing Street
Our Chief Executive heads to Number 10 Downing Street
14 May 2018
Our Chief Executive, Paul Hackett, visited Number 10 Downing Street to discuss skills shortages in the construction sector.
Paul attended the small, private roundtable with the Prime Minister’s Housing and Planning advisor, Jamie Cowling, last Thursday (10 May).
Mr Cowling was keen to discuss the key role of housing associations in delivering training and jobs so the UK has the construction skills to build 300,000 homes a year. He was eager to see whether the government could do anything to support this work.
Paul, who is also Chair of the
g15
which represent the largest housing associations in London, described the meeting as “really positive”.
It’s not the first time Paul has visited Number 10 Downing Street. He was a part of a delegation that was invited to the Prime Minister's Housing Summit last year, continuing his influence on the national stage.
