New partnership with the Mayor of London
New partnership with the Mayor of London
12 July 2017
Optivo has entered into a new partnership with the Mayor of London to build 2,600 homes in the capital.
The new homes will be delivered by 2021 with up to £88.4m of grant funding from City Hall.
Optivo’s partnership with the Mayor is part of a £1.7bn investment by City Hall to deliver nearly 50,000 affordable homes in London with new housing in all boroughs.
Paul Hackett
, Chief Executive of Optivo said:
“
Optivo is delighted to have been selected as a strategic partner with the Mayor and is committed to working with him to build the homes the capital needs
.
The partnership with the Mayor is the biggest London’s housing associations have ever committed to, reflecting the urgency of the housing crisis and our strong relationship with City Hall
.”
The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said:
“
We know that solving the housing crisis is not going to happen overnight, but I very much welcome so many housing associations and councils matching my ambition by committing to build the new and genuinely affordable homes Londoners so desperately need.
