If you live in the Swale area and you’re a parent or carer, find out how we can help to maximise your potential.

The project will offer you the chance to learn new skills and build self-esteem.

And it will support you in finding a job, including help writing your CV.

There’s also the chance to work with your children in ‘out of school’ activities, with the overarching aim of creating a closer and happier family unit.

Over the last two years this project has helped over 200 people. We think this project is fantastic… but don’t just take our word for it!

Watch this new video where some of our participants talk about their experiences of Families on our Doorstep:

Mum-of-two Krystina, who is now completing a Level 3 Award in Education and Training, said: “It has been life changing for my family. I am happier in myself, with the children, and the children are happier. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. It’s just made life happier.”

Jian, who worried about going for job interviews, but has now moved into employment, added: “The staff are all really kind, really nice. I said to them, I’m really lucky I’ve got your support.”

Dad-of-six Andreas, who hadn’t been in work since 2000 but is now a warehouse operative, added: “Since I’ve been here, my confidence has gone from down there to up here!”

The Families on our Doorstep project, funded by Big Lottery Reaching Communities, will run until December 2018.
