03 January 2018
Interested in a security guard job?
We're offering residents the opportunity to complete a Security Industry Authority (SIA) course this January. This usually costs £500 - but we're offering to you free of charge! It will give you all the skills you need for a job as a security guard, as well as a guaranteed interview at the end.
Where is it?
You will be required to attend a training centre in Croydon, South London.
What will I learn?
This is a 12-day course (starting 29 January), which includes:
Customer service – how to deliver good customer service, health and safety, and how to interact with customers.
Employability skills – including how to give the best interview, looking for jobs based on your skills, and how to apply for jobs.
Door supervision – training provided by the SIA
What do I get at the end of the course?
You’ll earn yourself an official SIA badge, which shows you are certified to work within the security industry.
You’ll also be guaranteed a job interview with
TSS Total Security Services
– who supply security guards to retail stores across the UK. Interviews will be held in February.
