Sycamore Lodge is divided into five streets. Each street is designed to meet differing needs of residents who require residential and nursing care. One of our streets provides general residential care, one provides care for people with dementia, two of our streets provide nursing care and the final street provides nursing care for people with dementia.
Our dedicated colleague support team provides 24 hour care. We will help our residents to book appointments, choose activities and assist in general tasks of daily living, as required.
Each resident is encouraged to develop a good relationship with their key worker, who will make sure they get the care and attention they need.
We know that food is important to our residents and we take great care to find out what each resident likes and dislikes. Our on site catering team provide three main meals a day, with a range of nutritious dishes which are monitored and changed according to tastes. Special diets which cater for religious beliefs or health requirements are also available. The catering service is provided by Avenance.
All our residents wear their own clothing and use our laundry service. A hairdressing service is also available.
Employees bring energy and enthusiasm to the care of our residents, which helps to create a lively and warm atmosphere.
Care workers develop their skills and knowledge through ongoing training provided by Optivo and through achieving NVQ level 2/3 in care. Our senior employees have all achieved the NVQ level 3 and 4 in care.
