We’ve been handed some of this funding to help reduce energy bills in a number of households across Sussex.

This includes installing 50 new gas central heating systems in Hastings and 30 air source heat pumps (ASHP) in Camber this year.

Other energy measures have included loft and cavity wall insulation and new doors and windows, while the homes in Camber have also had solar panels installed.

Following these improvements, an event was held in Camber in November where contractors were able to answer any questions residents may have.

Many residents say they’ve noticed a reduction in electricity costs since ASHP were installed, while others say they’ve never felt so warm in their homes at this time of year.
